scrapbook cutter Roadmap

The trimmer arrived promptly and in good condition. It has been used and works well.[yahooquestion]scrapbook+cutter[/yahooquestion]
A scrapbook is no different from a paperback novel. Words usually tell you what is happening and can be seen in every image. Though this never reaches anything more than 100 pages, it gets enough for an entertaining story having a beginning and reaching an end.
Every page in the scrapbook is apparently made up of paper. You could always buy these in bookstores. The ones which are lignin and acid free and those safe for photos are often preferred. This would ensure endurance to your pages as long as proper storage is ascertained.
You can also start with pieces of specialized papers, recycled ones, colored papers, art papers or construction papers that you can compile after. Some scrap bookers do this because they don’t want to make all the pages uniform. Not all cuttings can be done with a scissors. Sometimes, you need a cutter to make your work a little easier. When using a cutter, make sure that you have a cutting board underneath to avoid cutting papers underneath or worse putting cut lines on the surface scrapbook cutter of the table.
Undoing changes is not very easy and hence you need to keep everything in order initially before starting to cut. Dual tapes could be used until the hobbyist is satisfied with the look. Only then it would be wise to move onto the next page.
At times, more than one day is required to complete a page. To know how the succeeding pages would look when placed besides each other, the hobbyist should flip the pages back at occasional instance to ensure continuity from every cover.
Getting a durable cover for your photo album would be the best way to take care of your scrapbook. It would make sure that the contents are safe when stored in a cool hidden place.
Sometimes, regardless of however careful you are, the elements might cause scrapbook decay. Hence the option of putting it up on some website or saving in a compact disc would be a wise idea in these cases.
Initially, scrapbooks were made conventionally using mere papers and imagination. In the present day, the same could be done online, by enabling the hobbyist to download various templates for imaginative designing. The scrapbook could be completed and one could also have it posted in some website.
One would simply have to run the search engine through to browse for appropriate sites and that would seldom cost a thing. The user could also save the templates and other findings on his local system. Working in this manner would be helpful in starting off with where the project was left incomplete.
Several methods would tell you about excelling in this area of interest. One significant approach is by looking at other similar projects so that you get some idea on the subject and the corresponding theme.
Scrapbooking has been done since ages and there is now an expansion in this area of interest. People prefer the idea as many are not content with having everything in a photo album. You must know that every scrapbook is composed of memorable pages and the effort in them is more than worth its mere size.

Being retractable is awesome and it’s sharp to top it off. I cut my hand on another one that’s not retractable and it did some really serious damage. I’ve now bought one of these for myself and my daughter who has joined my in scrapbooking and is only 14.
As a crafter with small children a craft knife that, not only retracts, but you literally never need to touch the blades at all. When you wish to put a new blade on you just just the switch to the forward position, open the new blade side of the blade storage case, and screw the handle onto the blade. Taking an old blade off is just a reverse of the process on the used blade side of the case.
I received my Cricut for a Christmas gift 2 yrs ago and have tried using it several times since then for many things and I just don’t care for it. You have to use fairly thin or lightweight cardstock to get it to cut all the way through and lift crisp and cleanly from the sticky paper, even after increasing the depth of the cutter blade, etc. I keep going back to it thinking that the more I play with it and get used to it, the more I’ll like it. It’s just not happening and it just sits in the corner of my craft room, unused. I’m going to try to sell it. It’s a shame, too, because I have 6 cartridges to go with it. I really like my other die cut machines better, especially my Wizard, which not only cuts, but embosses, as well. My mother-in-law has the Cricut, too, and loves it. Seems to be a personal choice. I would recommend you try using a friend’s or one at a scrapbook store before you put out the money to be sure you’re going to like it and use it.
I bought this during the Lightning Deals and got a great deal but my girlfriend had to show me how to use it. It’s definitely great instead of cutting out individual letters but it takes a while to get the jist of how to use it. Trying to get the end lined up so it cuts right can be difficult.
I did use it to put names on Christmas packages and it looked great! It only took a fraction of the time as I wouldn’t have even attempted this had it not been my Cricut. Cartridges are expensive too!
I found it to be very intellegent when it comes to the cutting part so that it doesnt destroy the images, and larger is better. bye for now.
I purchased this because I wanted to use it with the $75 Sure Cuts Alot software. The reason I wanted to use it with this software is because you can download any image, font, etc from the internet to use without any additional cost to you and you can also cut smaller than the 1″ the machine with cartridge will allow. So, this machine along with the Sure Cuts Alot software, I recommend, but not the machine alone, only because of how pricey the cartridges are.
Now for my complaints…The Cricut Create and Expression machines will allow you to cut smaller than 1″ with the cartridges, but for some reason, this machine doesn’t. The other complaint I have about these machines is that the mats lose their stick, pretty quickly. I’ve read about ways to make them sticky again, but have yet to try them.
Also, you really need the spatula with this machine. It would be really hard to get the project off of the mat without it. The Cricut tool kit is also very nice to have, but not as important as the spatula. I think the machine should come with a spatula, but it doesn’t, so you should really invest in that as well. I hope this helps. Happy crafting=)
I love this paper cutter. I use industrial strength paper cutters at work. This one obviously isn’t that professional strength but for my hobbies such as making large quantities of cards, this works great!
I’d highly recommend it. The blade is wonderfully sharp and will shave off just millimeters.
I am quite satisfied with the Tonic 12×12 paper cutter. The blade is sharp and I like the size. The only complaint I have is the measuring guide/ruler at the top is not real easy to use. It would also be helpful if there was a ruler on the bottom of the cutter to help align the paper.
This paper cutter is fantastic. Cuts clean and straight, and straight is wonderful, after using my old one for 5 years. I recommend it highly!
I love this cutter!!!! I’ve had my cutter for more than a year now. I like to make books and need to be able to cut mat board from time to time. I didn’t want to have to keep going to my local Hobby Lobby to have them cut this for me every time I needed a particular size. Now, I just go to Hobby Lobby pick out a 32″x40″ sheet of mat board and have them cut them into 12×12 pieces for me (and they give me the odd pieces if I ask for them). I have all the mat board I need for quite a while. I go from paper to mat board back to cutting paper again. I use the grid lines to line up my major cuts. It would be nice if it had a ruler at the bottom. But, I am very pleased with it. I wouldn’t trade it for the world! Clean, crisp, straight cuts every time. Still as sharp as the day I first bought it.
This is a great idea however mine was missing the straight edge (most important!!). The company would not do anything about it unless I wanted to purchase a replacement blade?????
This thing is a waste of your money if you care about how your photo edges look. It doesn’t cut the paper cleanly. The edges look torn and ragged. I purchased 2 for gifts and have had one of the gifts returned.
