I have been using my Big Shot machine for a few weeks now. It was easy to set up and easy to learn how to use. You crank the handle to cut and emboss, and it didn’t take long to figure out how to use it. The machine is very portable and quiet. I have only used it with Spellbinders dies so far. To emboss, I had to buy the embossing pads separately. The machine comes with two acrylic cutting plates and a universal platform/folder. When you use the machine, the acrylic plate that is closest to the die gets etched into. The first few times it happens, there is a loud cracking noise. At first, I thought I was doing something wrong and breaking the machine. But then I realized it was normal. It is a good idea to always use one of the acrylic plates for cutting and turn it and place the dies in different places on the platform so you cut it in a different area. That way, your acrylic plate doesn’t become warped. Try to keep one acrylic plate always on top. Use that one for embossing. If you use the etched acrylic plate for embossing, it will leave an imprint on your paper. The directions that come with the Big Shot are very brief. Use different internet sites to learn more. For example, I used the Spellbinders FAQ to learn how to cut using Spellbinders dies.

Sure cuts a lot for cricut expression?
I have the sure cuts a lot cricut software software, it says there are supposed to be thousands of images and there are only 10. How do I get the rest of the images?

How do I get started designing digital scrapbook kits?
I already digital scrapbook using Photoshop CS3. I am wanting scrapbook kit to start designing my own kits and templates for sale... but I have no idea where to start. With the designing, that is - I have the whole blog/selling/marketing thing covered. But where can I find out more about designing?

My husband purchased a cricut expression for me Christmas 2007. I loved it. However, I didn’t get to use it often. I have not used it over 10 times. Recently, my machine malfunctioned. Contacted the company to inquire about repairing it. I was offered a walk through of what they call a “hard reset”. I tried to reset the machine, but the reset button was not working–it appears to be stuck. At that point, the customer service rep. suggested I purchase a new machine.
The warranty is only for 1 year after that you are up the creek with no paddle. I was livid! Its not like this machine cost a few bucks. Oh yeah! I was offered a refurbished one for the low low price of $290–I can buy a new one in Wal-mart for the price. It really leaves a bad impression to know that Procraft don’t offer replacement parts or repairs on such a costly item especially when the economy is in the state it is today.

This record book is fantastic. It is orange and green (looks pink & green on the web)and very cute. I liked the items it asked for – cost of various items, birth information, etc. Some babybooks have the most bizarre items they ask you to include. This one is great. I only wish I would have had this one for my first child as well.

I have been in the business for about 4 years memories scrapbooking and love scrapbooking. Problem is that everyone thinks it takes too much time. I bought this at a very good price and was pleasantly surprised to find it works well. The only issue I had with it out of the box was that the sticky pad that came with it didn’t last very long. However the ones that came in a separate package were wonderfully sticky and seem to be a little bit bigger as well. Overall I’m very pleased with this.
