I was thinking of adding my positive pregnancy test to my unborn child's baby scrapbook scrapbook. Would it be gross to put the actual test into the scrapbook or should I just take a picture of it? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

scrapbook papers Free Useful Guidepost

If you like to use glitter paper for scrapbooking or other arts/crafts, these are better than any I’ve seen at the various craft stores, plus the price is more reasonable than buying individual sheets. I loved most of them and will use all of them. The only thing I don’t like about them is the smell – probably the glue. Hope that goes away in time. Otherwise these are perfect.

Secrets About die cutting

I loved this machine, until it broke on me after 2 months. The good news, Provo Crafts said to send it back and that they have had some problems while using Spellbinder dies. I also own a Wizard and even though that is very heavy duty, the ratchiting is very hard to do and it shoots out the plates when finished cutting. For that reason I really don’t like a Wizard and I broke that machine too. (I must be freakishly strong but they sent replacement part and said it happens on them too). I think I’m going to order a Big Shot from Amazon, the price is great and I hear people like that the best. I wouldn’t not get a cuttlebug, they stand behind it it’s very easy to use but it’s not very heavy duty. I use my machines a lot so need something easy and going to be reliable.

Has anyone purchased the circuit expression machine or the personal die cutting machine?
I would like to know if the circuit expression machine is worth the price and what is the difference between die cutting the circuit expression machine and the personal one? How to help my 6yo with Scrapbooking - where to start!!?
my daughter is an avid photographer (in the making) and wants to display all the photos she has taken. I scrapbooking techniques would love to teach her scrapbooking but have no idea where to start!!
Im trying to research but i cant seem to find a website that explains it properly - they are so vague and assume you already know the techniques.
I need simple stuff coz my girl is only 6yo but very creative and excellent at taking pics!!

Posted by: | CommentsI have been using the Big Shot for a few weeks now and LOVE it! It works very well with Sizzix products but I have also used it with Cuttlebug and QuicKutz as well as brass stencils which I previously owned. I have found Spellbinders Nestabilities dies to work well in the Big Shot for both cutting and embossing. Be sure to buy the tan embossing pads if you plan to use these and you will have no problems. You get a lot more for your money buying the Nestabilities with greater choices and graduated sizes vs. individual dies. And they are so much easier to store.

Top resources for big shot die cut machine online

I have been using my Big Shot machine for a few weeks now. It was easy to set up and easy to learn how to use. You crank the handle to cut and emboss, and it didn’t take long to figure out how to use it. The machine is very portable and quiet. I have only used it with Spellbinders dies so far. To emboss, I had to buy the embossing pads separately. The machine comes with two acrylic cutting plates and a universal platform/folder. When you use the machine, the acrylic plate that is closest to the die gets etched into. The first few times it happens, there is a loud cracking noise. At first, I thought I was doing something wrong and breaking the machine. But then I realized it was normal. It is a good idea to always use one of the acrylic plates for cutting and turn it and place the dies in different places on the platform so you cut it in a different area. That way, your acrylic plate doesn’t become warped. Try to keep one acrylic plate always on top. Use that one for embossing. If you use the etched acrylic plate for embossing, it will leave an imprint on your paper. The directions that come with the Big Shot are very brief. Use different internet sites to learn more. For example, I used the Spellbinders FAQ to learn how to cut using Spellbinders dies.

Im looking to buy a die cut machine but big shot die cut machine i am undecided about what to go for. I want a machine that cuts large dies/ embosses and can cut a large range of materials i.e metal and chipboard. Any suggestions?
